Reverie is an Australian comics anthology, running from 1983-1986, edited by Gary Dellar. Initially including some classic overseas material, it soon became an all-Australian comic, widely distributed through newsagents.
Reverie featured work by Paul Harris, Peter Hughes & Robert Shaw, George Hall , Michal Dutkiewicz, Rob Shaw, Fil Barlow, Ian C. Thomas, Gaston Vanzet, Kevin Jenkinson and John Dixon's Airhawk. Overall, the comic carried a mix of classic adventure, local superhero, fantasy and humor material.
A hallmark feature of the early issues are the hilarious Paul Harris covers and stories, such as Asphalt Animal.
The REVERIE title was revamped in 2018. Sold out but was later, due to it's success, was titled REVERIE The New Series. Once again showcasing the Australian talent as well as over seas creatives. REVERIE logo was used as the brand for the comics that followed in the footsteps of the original title. The success of TOBY and the Magic Pencil was enormous. This lead to the unique titled Ric McClune: Second Fastest Gun in the West and TORN.
TORN was a masterpiece that was the foundation to the Australian Super Hero Universe. Very popular today.
