Born in Melbourne, 1968, Kevin Patrick is a notable Australian comics historian. Patrick first became involved in writing reviews for local fanzines during the early 1980s, including Fox Comic Collector and The Australian Comic Reader.

During this period he wrote the 'Comics Corner' column for West Australian sci-fi fanzine, Apocrypha. He has researched and written the first major history of Australian comic books of the 'modern' (post-1980) era. Entitled 'Heroes and Villains', the research was serialised in Australian Book Collector magazine between August-December 1999.

A prolific freelance journalist and author since the mid-1990s, Kevin Patrick published The Panther in 2001-2002, reprinting issues of the classic 1950s-60s series written and drawn by Paul Wheelahan.

He currently writes the Comics Down Under column for Collectormania magazine and is curating a major exhibition, Heroes & Villains: Australian Comics and their Creators. The exhibition will be held at the State Library of Victoria between 20 October 2006 - 26 February 2007.
